Botafogo Beach (in Portuguese, Praia de Botafogo) is within Guanabara Bay, sheltered from the Atlantic Ocean by the Urca peninsula and the Sugarloaf Mountain.
The view of the Botafogo Bay is breathtaking. Composed by the boats of the Rio Yacht Club with the Morro da Urca and the Sugar Loaf Mountain in the background, it is one of the most famous postcards of Rio de Janeiro.
