Considered to be one of the best children’s amusement parks in Paris, the 20-hectare (49-acre) Jardin d’Acclimatation was inaugurated in 1860 and features an archery range, house of mirrors, carousel, miniature-golf course, steer Radio- controlled Boats, boat rides on the enchanted river, road train, farm animals, pony rides and puppet theatre.
There is also La Petite Ferme (The Small Farm), which aims to initiate young people to the rural world and introduce them to farm animals: turkeys, guinea fowl, rabbits, pigs, swans, sheep, goats, donkeys and lamas and Le Potager (the Kitchen Garden) that familiarises kids with plants from everywhere.
A large number of fun, pedagogical workshops for kids take place throughout the year. The park also has restaurants and a gift shop.
