Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (Paris Museum of Modern Art) is an art museum located in the eastern wing of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris dedicated to the arts of the 20th century.
Constructed for the International Exhibition of Arts and Technology of 1937 and inaugurated in 1961, the museum exhibits over 8000 different works of art by contemporary masters of Fauvism, Cubism and Post-Cubism as well as Surrealism and New Realism.
Its white-walled galleries are large and vacuous, and the exhibits are displayed in separate rooms.
