The Jardin du Luxembourg or the Luxembourg Gardens is the largest park in the Paris. Spread with statues, fountains and flowers, it is full of activities for kids, like poney rides, a circular pond where you can float a rented toy boat and a puppet theatre (Théâtre des Marionettes) that takes place in the southwest corner of the garden on Wednesday afternoons and on weekends.
The 60-acre park offers also kiosks and open-air cafes, as well as a well-maintained fenced-in playground that features the oldest carousel in Paris, dating back to 1879.
