With the hot weather in Singapore, water play areas with fountains, splash pads and wading pools are perfect places for kids to cool off. There are lots of free water playgrounds in the city conveniently located within shopping malls. Below we’ve highlighted 3 of them:
Splash N Surf – Singapore Sports Hub
Located on level 3 of Kallang Wave Mall, Splash N Surf is a pretty sizable playground with two free areas: the Water Play Area for the older children and the Kids Pool for toddlers. The Water Play Area consists of a play structure with five colorful slides of various Heights. The Kids Pool is a mini pool with a depth of 0.5m, and it features a carousel with bucket seats. There are changing and shower facilities at nearby toilets. Splash N Surf also has a half-pipe surf zone (Stingray) and a lazy river, but these are not free-attractions.

Tampines 1 Rooftop Water Playground
Located at the rooftop of Tampines 1 Shopping Mall, this animal-themed water playground has three different water play areas to explore. Kids will definitely enjoy water ponds with fountains alongside sea lion and polar bear slides, as well as spraying water coming out from hippo and elephant mouths. Although most of the water playground is out in the sun, there are small sheltered pavilions around the area.

KidzPlay at Nex Shopping Mall
Located at the top of Nex Shopping Mall, this open-air playground has both wet and dry play areas. The wet play area has water sprinklers, water guns, slides, and even a giant splash bucket that sends hordes of water down for kids to get wet and cooled down. The area is equipped with padded floors, so kids must not be afraid to run around.
